Mmmmmmmmm – I brought these to my birth and they were awesome after all that work! (Gluten-Free and Dairy-Free)
Ingredients:
1 cup cacao butter (coconut oil can replace any of cacao butter but it melts more easily. I like 1/4 cup coconut oil with 3/4 cup cacao butter)
1 cup cacao powder (unsweetened)
1/4 cup maple syrup or honey (less or more depending on your sweetness desires)
nuts and seeds as desired. I filled mine with chia, roasted sunflower seeds, sesame, slivered almonds…
Melt cacao butter and coconut oil in double boiler. When it’s completely melted, take off heat and add cacao powder and honey or maple syrup and then stir in nuts and seeds. I spooned it into greased (coconut oil) muffin tins, but you can also spread out on a pan with parchment paper and cut after hardened.
Great source of magnesium!!
